Madiba was a good oke, hey.

After the success of Mandelapalooza in 2015, we decided to do it again in 2016. Now it’s safe to safe we have ourselves an annual show!

For those from foreign lands, Mandela Day is celebrated every year on the 18th of July here in South Africa. People are encouraged to give up 67 mins of their day to help others. These 67 minutes honour the political career of Mandela, which was worked out to be roughly 67 years of his life.

The idea is rather simple… we put on a show at The Good Luck Bar in Johannesburg and ask our musician friends to lend their talents for free. We raise money for Cotlands, and The Yenzani Childrens Home.

In 2016 we raised over R25 000, all of which was able to go straight to these two charities.
